Hi, my name is Sónia and I'm the photographer and founder of Maria Fotografia. I'm currently based in Lisbon but I'm addicted to travel and I'll go wherever your story takes me. I'm totally in love with photography and what it stands for - a way to convey a message that will last forever. It also has the power to awaken emotions and to connect to others.
My life philosophy is "Less is More". I believe that only this way we can see and feel the immense universe that each person is and that's where I get inspiration to do what I do. In you, your story, and in what you have to share.
I'm really a lucky girl. I have been photographing emotions for about a long time now. I've been touched and inspired by the beautiful and wonderful couples that trusted me and my team with their most precious moments and gave us the honor to attend one of the most important day of their lives.
# Personal
When I'm not shooting you can find me walking in nature, travelling and finding new places to go. I love riding my motorbike (and yes... Sometimes I arrive at weddings in my scooter). I've recently started adventuring on some SUP lessons, something I always wanted to do (it's going nicely. Just ask Ricardo from South Adventures). I love a good reading but has to be on paper (I know.... old school!!!). That helps me soothing my creative and restless mind. All of this and so much more is done in complicity with my son and partner (we are parents for the first time ever and this has been the most crazy trip of our lives!!!). Truth be told... Everything tastes better when done in family.
